# Nebra Sky Disc (-1600)

The Nebra sky disc is a bronze disc inlaid with gold symbols representing the Sun or full Moon, a crescent Moon and stars including the Pleiades. Buried around 1600 BCE on the Mittelberg hill, it was recovered from looters in 2002 in a police sting. It is considered the oldest known concrete depiction of the cosmos and is listed in UNESCO's Memory of the World register.

It showcases the astronomical knowledge of the Bronze Age Únětice culture.
