# Treaty of Stralsund (1370)

In 1370 the Hanseatic League forced Denmark to sign the Treaty of Stralsund after a victorious war. The Hanse gained trade privileges and control of fortresses in the Sound. The League of some 200 towns dominated trade in Northern Europe.
