# Hussite Wars (1419)

From 1419 the Hussites of Bohemia defeated repeated imperial crusades using wagon-fort tactics. Hussite raids reached Saxony, Franconia and Brandenburg. The wars ended in compromise in 1434-1436.

## Why it matters
They foreshadowed the religious conflicts of the Reformation.
